Streaming video services applications with a Zidoo Devices

A reminder to potential Zidoo device buyers and avoid a disappointment.

Zidoo devices are designed for local content and not online streaming and they do not have agreements in place with streaming providers.

If you want to stream from sources like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney+ etc..., an Android TV devices or native TV applications will be a better choice.

So i repeat, don't buy a Zidoo device hoping to use it with streaming video services applications.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a media player to enjoy your movie collection using your NAS or external hard drives, a Zidoo device may be a good choice.

3 solutions to have access to your Zidoo from your PC with the option ''SAMBA SERVER'' of your Zidoo device First part Here is my way to have the ZD_SAMBA available on my Network page. It's not recommended because of the lack of security as we use SMB1, but on my private network I don't think it's a problem, plus the performance would be better using SMB2... But so far all my video files and my test files like jellyfish are running without any problem.   I present you the HT4.0 Widgets, we don't talk much about them and yet they are very useful. If you want to have categories such as ''Cartoon'' or ''Family'' or ''Documentary'' that you have created yourself and you want to see them in the main page, Zidoo offers this possibility with its ''Widgets''. --------- Here is an example I created 2 folders ''Concert'' and ''Manga'' in one of my sources and I want to have on the main page of HT4.0. it's easy to do, c lick on the widget with the "+" symbol to add a new widget by choosing a folder in one of your sources.
